At every AFL-CIO Convention delegates draft, debate and vote on resolutions on a wide variety of subjects. Resolutions are considered according to a process detailed in the AFL-CIO constitution. The posted resolutions have been approved by delegates to the AFL-CIO Convention 2001.

Proposed Resolutions 13, 18, 34 and 40 were referred to the Executive Council.
Proposed Resolutions 12 and 41 were subsumed in Resolution 9.
Resolution 14 was subsumed in Resolution 7.
Resolution 15 was subsumed in Resolution 4.
Resolutions 43 was subsumed in Resolution 16.
Resolutions 17 and 39 were subsumed in Resolution 8.
Resolution 42 was previously addressed in an Executive Council statement and was subsumed in Resolution 8.
Resolutions 23 through 29 were replaced by Resolution 47.
Resolution 38 was withdrawn.

Constitutional Amendments:

Amendment 1:
Providing for the Operation of Area Central Labor Bodies, approved without changes (12/6/01)

Amendment 2:
Clarifying that No Unaffiliated or Suspended Organization May Be Allowed Representation or Recognition in the AFL-CIO, approved without changes (12/6/01)

Amendment 3:
Clarifying that Written Notice by the AFL-CIO of Arrearages in Per Capita Taxes or Assessments Must Precede an Automatic Suspension for Nonpayment, approved without changes (12/6/01)

Amendment 4:
Authorizing the Executive Council to Issue Provisional Charters to New Affiliates in Order to Set Particular Conditions for a Regular Affiliation, approved without changes (12/6/01)

Amendment 7:
Providing that the AFL-CIO's Regular Convention Shall Be Held Once Every Four Years, Rather Than Once Every Two Years,approved without changes (12/6/01)

Amendment 8:
Clarifying that Where the Number of Nominees for an Elected Office Does Not Exceed the Number of Individuals to be Elected to the Particular Office, the Nominee(s) Shall be Declared Elected by Acclamation, approved without changes (12/6/01)

Amendment 10:
Authorizing Central Bodies to Allow Allied Retiree Organizations Designated by the Executive Council to Affiliate or Otherwise Participate, approved without changes (12/6/01)

Amendment 11:
Providing that the General Board Shall Meet at Least Once During Each Four-Year Convention Cycle, and Expanding the General Board's Authority Between Conventions, approved without changes (12/6/01)
